Merchants of Medicine is pleased to offer the American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Certification Program. This comprehensive and in-depth curriculum includes the first half of the required monitoring in class, ensuring candidates receive a well-rounded training experience.

Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for the BLS Instructor Certification Program, candidates must:

  1. Be at least 18 years old.
  2. Hold a current AHA BLS Provider certification. (Can be obtained prior to attending the course from Merchants of Medicine)
  3. Complete the AHA BLS Instructor Essentials Online course. (E-Learning Code will be provided upon registration and payment)
  4. Have access to an AHA BLS Training Center that agrees to affiliate and monitor the candidate during the instructor training process. Merchants of Medicine in partnership with Prime Medical will assist those that are not affiliated with an AHA Training Center.

Merchants of Medicine is proud to offer this AHA BLS Instructor Certification Program, providing an in-depth and comprehensive training experience to aspiring BLS instructors. By including the first half of the required monitoring in class, candidates receive valuable feedback and guidance, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver high-quality BLS courses.

Upon successful completion of the AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor Program, graduates are able to teach the AHA Heartsaver level program in addition to the Basic Life Support Program. (**Note** The Heartsaver program materials are not included in the cost of the BLS course but may be purchased from Merchants of Medicine).

The cost of the program is $450.00 per instructor-candidate and includes all required manuals and equipment for the program. Upon registration a non-refundable fee of $125.00 will be assessed for cancelled seats in the program.
