Child Care Advanced Training (C+CAT™) Program

Our professional babysitting and pediatric CPR and first aid training program (Child care advanced training-C+CAT™) was designed for individuals who are interested in learning how to properly care for children and respond to medical emergencies that may arise. This comprehensive program offers a three-phase arc that covers everything from basic childcare practices to life-saving techniques that can make all the difference in an emergency.
The first phase of the program focuses on basic childcare practices, such as understanding a child’s needs, behavior management, and age-appropriate playtime. We believe that it’s important for babysitters and caregivers to have a solid foundation in childcare practices to ensure that children are always safe, engaged, and happy.
The second phase of the program dives into the fundamentals of pediatric CPR and first aid. Students will learn how to recognize and respond to common medical emergencies, such as choking, allergic reactions, and breathing difficulties. They will also learn how to perform high-quality CPR on infants and children, as well as how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
The third phase of the program is dedicated to hands-on practice and real-world scenarios. Students will have the opportunity to practice their skills in a simulated emergency setting, allowing them to build confidence and proficiency in their abilities. By the end of the program, students will have the skills and knowledge necessary to respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies and keep the children in their care safe.
Overall, our professional babysitting and pediatric CPR and first aid training program provides comprehensive education in childcare practices and emergency response techniques. Whether you’re a new babysitter or an experienced caregiver, this program will help you gain the confidence and skills needed to provide high-quality care and respond to medical emergencies with confidence.
These programs are offered in addition to current industry-certified programs developed by the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI) and the American Red Cross (ARC).
